When you use our Rehearse with Chart Add-on, the app allows you to access your Google Docs. The app does not collect any information from the documents; it displays the information in a format that is easy to use during rehearsals and practice.

Data Usage (Google User Data)

This section describes how our application uses, processes, and handles the Google user data it accesses.

When you use our Rehearse with Chart Add-on, the app displays the chords and lyrics in the Google Docs you select, allowing you to play your backing tracks and display lyrics and chords simultaneously.

Data Sharing (Google User Data)

This section provides a clear description of if and how Google user data is shared with any third parties, including the purpose of this sharing. We currently do not share any user data with any third parties.  In the future, we may share your information with third-party service providers, such as payment processors.  

Data Storage and Protection (Google User Data)

We are committed to securely storing and protecting user data, including Google user data. Alternative Measures stores any data we collect either in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, or data stores managed by Google Cloud. We rely on Google’s robust security infrastructure and practices to protect your data. Specifically, Google employs the following security measures:

• Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security) and at rest using Google’s encryption technologies. This protects your data from unauthorized access during transmission and while stored on Google’s servers.

• Access Control: Google employs strict access control measures, including role-based access control, to limit access to your data to authorized personnel only. We comply with Google requirements to allow Google to protect the data we collect.

• Data Center Security: Google’s data centers are physically secured with multiple layers of protection, including biometric identification, surveillance, and controlled access.

• Compliance Certifications: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) maintains numerous compliance certifications, including ISO 27001, SOC 1/2/3, PCI DSS Level 1, and HIPAA, demonstrating its commitment to data security and privacy. 

• Regular Security Assessments: Google conducts regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.

• Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Google Cloud offers DLP capabilities to help prevent sensitive data from leaving the Google environment.

• Vulnerability Reward Programs: Google maintains vulnerability reward programs to encourage security researchers to identify and report security vulnerabilities.

• Redundancy and Disaster Recovery: Google’s infrastructure is designed with redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities to ensure data availability and business continuity.

Our Rehearse with Chart Add-on does not collect any additional data beyond what is necessary to function as described.

Data Retention and Deletion (Google User Data)

We describe our policy on how long Google user data is retained and provide an accessible process for users to request the deletion of their data.

• Data Retention: Alternative Measures retains user data for ten years, unless you specifically request that we delete the data.

• Data Deletion Process: You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To request the deletion of your specific Google user data, including data accessed by the Alternative Measures app, you may:

  1. Revoke the application's access via your Google Account Security Settings.

  2. Request that your data be deleted by sending an email to bclark@alternativemeasures.app indicating the email address associated with your account.
